Flossing Poll Update

The flossing poll is closing in 9 minutes. NBC news has declared "Thin waxed floss", garnering 31% of the vote, the winner in the floss preference poll.

Thin waxed floss (e.g., Glide) edged out the thicker waxed floss (e.g., J&J mint waxed floss) by one vote. Woven (my favorite) came in 3rd tied with dental tape. I do not understand why people like dental tape. Doesn't it cut into the gums as it slides in? Isn't a roundish surface desirable for maximal scraping power instead of having a flat tape-like surface? For the 5 people who prefer dental tape, please explain in the comments section.

Finally, there were 5 people who admitted that they do not floss. I am flabbergasted. It's really unacceptable. You only have one set of teeth for the rest of your life. Keep your gums healthy and get those food particles out of there. I hope at least you are using a "Dental Pic" (surprisingly, these devices are still being sold).

Thanks to everybody who voted!

Daily flossing can be pretty hard. Still, it's best to learn the habit since it does help keep the bacteria away from your teeth. There are some areas that your toothbrush can't reach, so flossing is good.
